Civil Litigation

Our track record on complex and difficult civil matters speaks for itself.

Wrix McIlvaine brings nearly two decades of experience in complex civil litigation in both federal and state courts, representing clients as both plaintiff and defense counsel. His practice focuses on sophisticated, high-stakes matters, including civil rights cases under RICO and 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against law enforcement agencies and local governments, as well as intricate business disputes involving unfair competition, trademark, copyright, and other contested commercial issues.

He holds a master’s degree in intellectual property law and is well versed in the full spectrum of IP protection and enforcement. Beyond his commercial and civil rights practice, McIlvaine has substantial experience in personal injury, products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, and complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, paternity, legitimation, DFCS dependency actions, school disciplinary tribunals, and administrative hearings.

Because of the demands and complexity of these cases, McIlvaine is highly selective in the civil matters he accepts and is frequently brought in by other attorneys as co-counsel on difficult or high-risk litigation.

Contact McIlvaine Law Group to discuss whether your complex civil matter is an appropriate fit for the firm’s focused representation.
