McILVAINE LAW GROUP

Serious Situations.  Serious Consequences.  A lawyer who tries cases.

Wrix McIlvaine has spent more than twenty years in Georgia courtrooms helping people facing the worst days of their lives — and winning. Federal and state felonies, complex civil litigation, and appeals, from an office in Brunswick.

Who you will be Hiring

This is not a high-volume practice, and it is not meant to be.

Wrix McIlvaine takes a limited number of cases so that each client gets the preparation their situation actually demands. You work directly with your lawyer — not an intake coordinator, not a rotating cast of associates.

His trial record is the reason prosecutors negotiate differently.

Cases he has tried have been covered by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Daily Report, CNN, Fox News, and Court TV. Other defense lawyers retain him as co-counsel, for jury consulting, and for second opinions when a case is going badly.

If you need someone who will file the motion, question the witness, and stand up at trial, you are in the right place.

What the Firm Handles

Criminal Defense

Serious federal and state felonies: white collar and parallel DOJ actions, multi-defendant drug conspiracies, RICO, and violent felony charges. A limited docket, built for trial.

Civil Litigation

Civil rights claims under § 1983 and RICO cases, business and unfair competition disputes, personal injury, and complex litigation on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants.

Criminal & Civil Appeals

Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Eleventh Circuit. A trial lawyer's eye for the record errors that appellate-only counsel tend to miss.

Trademark, Copyright & Business

IP procurement, enforcement, and litigation for creators and businesses nationwide, plus entity formation and registered agent services — without big-city overhead.

How a Consultation Works

Before you meet with Wrix, you complete a detailed form describing your situation. He reads it and prepares. The meeting is a full hour of substantive legal analysis — not a sales pitch.

That is why the consultation is not free. The fee is $1,000, paid in advance, and it is credited in full toward your retainer if the firm takes your case.

Sometimes a confidential consultation is all you need. People often come in wanting to understand where they stand on something that has happened or is about to. If Wrix is not the right lawyer for your matter, he will tell you, and he refers regularly to a network of attorneys across the state.
